CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA – Sigora Solar, a top 25 US solar company and the largest residential solar company in Virginia, was recognized by Community Climate Collaborative as a “2020 Better Business Champion” during a virtual event this month. The live broadcast presented on the 16-month effort between 75 Virginia businesses and nonprofit organizations to reduce climate emissions, waste, and conserve water.
Sigora is dedicated to climate remediation and supports efforts to advance a healthier and more sustainable environment. Sarah Nerette, the company’s dedicated Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Director, has spearheaded multiple internal initiatives including a plan to “green” Sigora’s fleet, which will replace company vehicles with EV or hybrid models.

To further demonstrate its commitment to clean energy and the climate, Sigora joined another Community Climate Collaborative initiative with 15 other like-minded Virginia business to launch a Green Business Alliance that is designed to collectively reduce emissions by 45% over the next 4 years.
